Trends in the automotive industry tend to conserve energy, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and increase passenger comfort. Solar radiation is reflected by the glass covered with the reflective film, blocking the heat penetration inside the car. In this way, there is no need to use air conditioning, so it reduces energy consumption and increases the level of comfort for passengers.

Benefits:

  • Reduces the temperature in the passenger compartment when the engine is not operating (up to 4 ℃ less within 2 hours under strong sun at noon).
  • Blocks solar radiation, saves energy.
  • Reduces reflection and increases comfort (cold in summer and warm in winter).

Operating principle

Low-e glass is made by in-coating with a thin layer of metal and then laminated with PVE. The metallic film reflects the sun's rays so the radiation penetrates. Temperature is kept low and comfort is improved.
